Mino Ware 美濃焼

Eki (慧喜, "wise joy") is defined by its glaze: a warm, sandy amber interior with a dense mottled pattern in deeper brown, while the exterior sits in a plain, quiet brown. Produced in Mizunami, Gifu as part of Kanesuzu's century-long tradition of professional tableware, each piece is lead- and cadmium-free and built for the demands of daily service. Eki pairs naturally with wood, lacquer, and unglazed stone, and brings warmth to a table that might otherwise read as austere.
